A participative integration initiative: university, environmental education and water resources management

This paper presents the activities developed by the Tutorial Education rogram realized in the Macaé campus of Rio de Janeiro Federal University. The rogram now has an interdisciplinary team of professors (10), and undergraduate (13) and graduate (2) students who carry out teaching, research and extension activities, with water as a common theme and main focus. The group’s activities are centered around issues connected to the use of water resources, environment conservation, sustainability and environmental education. The program strengthens the academic education with integration, production and sharing of the knowledge related to the issues addressed in it.
