This article analyzes how political prisoners from communist Romania survived after release. They don’t allow rejoining in jobs had before imprisonment, and their families suffered regime oppression to. Authorities monitored private and public lives of former political prisoners to the end of communist era. The study is based on documents from Romanian National Archives and The National Council for the Securitate Archives.
