Government Policy of Fighting Corruption and Its Impact on Subjects Operating in Public Administration

This paper focuses on the implementation of the government policy of fighting corruption at the lowest level of the State and local governments. The resource for the theoretical part is an analysis of government documents, especially of the Action Plans for Fighting Corruption in selected years. An important aspect of the fight against corruption create beside the education of the officials of the local and government administration also prevention, restraint of wasting of public funds, and strengthening of the control in the area of public administration. The aim of the questionnaire survey applied is to find out how officials perceive corruption and corrupt practices, taking into account the government’s information strategy in this area. A partial aim of the empirical research lies in applying of the Code of Ethics in the workplace and of the transparent and open access to information. In practice, it means mainly the use of the National Catalogue of Open Data operated by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic.
