Babadag Lake and the bordering areas belong to the lakeshore complex Razim-Sinoie, the largest surface of water in natural system in Romania, situated in the western part of Danube Delta Reserve. This territory with a large number of species in a variety of systematic units it is included în the Wetland Protection area under the RamsarConvention, it belongs to Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, it is universally recognized Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO and also it is Natura 2000 site. Unfortunately, anthropic activities in the last centuries have affected landscape and its components. Less landscape modifications were registered in the last two decades, probably also because of the protection statute of this area. In this article, based on different Geographical Information System analyses, landscape changes are shown by various graphics and maps.
