Serbia's security position in today's Europe: The concept of neutrality and the possibility of shaping Serbia's neutrality based on the model of Switzerland

Abstract

The paper discusses the security position of Serbia in today's Europe. It is specifically identified as impartial and neutral in relation to the current (geo)political crises, such as the one of Ukraine, which allows Serbia to build a position of a particular link between the European West and the European East, thus consolidating its own authority in the international community. Consideration is also given to the possibility of further specifying and defining the neutral security status of Serbia based on the model of Switzerland in the coming years, within possible and predictable geostrategic trends at the European and global levels.
