La valorisation touristique du patrimoine rural : une opportunité de développement pour l’agriculture de Balagne en Corse ?

Abstract

Balagne is a rural touristic territory. It remains of the glorious agrarian past are restored as a resource for local development. Farmers, as artisans of the country, are at the core of this process of re-appropriation and can be pay back for this cultural and economic revalorization: whereas they are suffering the land pressure, this issue can be a way of remaining their activity. But, it is proved that it is a major factor of the farming systems differentiation. Thus, it grows bigger the socio-economic inequalities. And as a paradox, the supply of local products and/or agritourism services do not systematically implies the implementation of eco-friendly practices. Finally, the touristic valorization of the rural heritage calls into question the rural system sustainability.
