Abstract
This paper explores the methodological possibility of articulating the political economy of communications` approach – which focuses the structures of power of media corporations and its political consequences – with some theoretical contributions from cultural studies. This articulation is mediated by a heterodox set of reflections about objectivity, subjectivity and semiotic processes.
