無The methods used to teach photojournalism ethics can be divided into two groups. There is the lecture method and the simulation method. The lecture method combines the photojournalism instructor or a guest (preferably a professional) with the traditional instructional materials of photographic prints, slides, films, and videotapes. Lectures should be structured with the audio-visual materials so that students will understand why and how a photographer acted given a specific set of circumstances. The student should also understand why and how the photograph was used in the newspaper. The simulation method can include in-class role playing games, complex environmental re-creations, ethics surveys, or interactive software on a computer. The fol1owing is a discussion of the various methods used to teach photojournalism ethics with an extended explanation of an interactive computer software program developed by the author.
