Libraries as Subjects of Legal Communication in the Modern Information Space

The article presents the study of the role of libraries as subjects of legal communication in the modern information space and in the education of users’ information culture. The role of libraries in legal communication and in ensuring human rights to information and supporting the rule of law is determined. Today, libraries as information centers play an important role in providing access to legal information and in sup porting legal culture in most countries of the world. The connection between libraries and legal communication becomes more relevant in the modern information space. The relationships between libraries and their users are based on legal communication, which is necessary in the modern information space.The article examines the legal foundations of library functioning, including their rights and obligations in the context of protection of copyright, data confidentiality, and other aspects of legal communication. Libraries are significant subjects of legal communication, as they provide access to information and knowledge, as well as ensure legal protection of copyright. In addition, libraries can act as information centers where legal advice can be obtained, and information on legislation and legal norms, as well as procedures for protecting one’s rights, can be learned. It is also important to note that libraries are places for storing legal documents, including laws, regulations, orders, and other documents that are significant for the formation of legal culture and citizens’ awareness. In addition, libraries can carry out explanatory work on legal issues and contribute to the resolution of conflict situations.Thus, the study of the role of libraries as subjects of legal communication in the modern information space is relevant and important in terms of developing legal culture and increasing legal awareness.
