Application of 68Ga-PSMA-11 and 18F-PSMA-1007 in prostate cancer
Abstract
The incidence of prostate cancer ranks second among male cancer patients in the world. Its morbidity and mortality have been rapidly increasing in recent years. Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET/CT is highly sensitive and specific in the detection of prostate cancer, which can be applied in the localization and staging of primary prostate cancer and monitoring of recurrent prostate cancer. At present, PET tracers based on PSMA are mainly 68Ga or 18F labeled compounds. In this article, the characteristics of the commonly used small molecular inhibitors of 68Ga-PSMA-11 and 18F-PSMA-1007, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of their application in prostate cancer were reviewed, aiming to provide evidence for clinical diagnosis and guide clinical application in different patients.
