SPECTRUM TRANSFORMATION OF THE OPTICAL SIGNAL TO IMPROVE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF FIBER-OPTIC COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

Abstract

An analysis of the method to improve the effectiveness of the direct detection optical receiver by the spectrum transformation of the line signal was presented in this paper. The method of constructing of the optical receiver providing sensitivity gain and signal-to-noise gain was proposed. Numerical investigation of its performance was carried out.
