Until recently, the problem of car service was largely ignored both in practice and in scientific circles, as evidenced by the lack of publications related to this area. Nevertheless, in recent years, the automotive services sector has been rapidly expanding, which is facilitated by the growth in the number of vehicle owners, the growing demand for maintenance and repair services, as well as the preference for affordable and convenient car maintenance options. There has been steady progress in the industry over the years due to the increase in the number of cars on the roads and the need for maintenance and repair services. While competition and changing customer needs pose challenges, at the same time there are many opportunities for those who will be able to offer competitive development strategies. The article presents the features of the competitiveness of the car service market through marketing tools. The characteristic of the degree of consumer behavior in the market of car service services in the Russian Federation is given. The volume of the Russian market of car service services is analyzed. The distribution of the volume of the car service market by federal districts of the Russian Federation is given. Measures are proposed to increase competitiveness in the field of car service services.
