Abstract

The section tells about the closure of the Norwegian Reindeer Research Station at Kåringen in North Norway in 1983. The research station started in 1957 and the Norwegian Reindeer Research started as an organisation of its own in 1969. The Agricultuaral Ministry decided to close the research station although it was in many ways of importance for the scientific development of reindeer husbandry in Norway.
