PROBLEMS OF CULTURE AND NATIVE LANGUAGE PRESERVATION OF INDIGENOUS MINORITIES IN THE POST-SOVIET FAR EAST
Abstract
The article discusses the problems of preserving traditional culture and national languages of Khabarovsk Krai indigenous minorities after the Soviet Union collapse, reveals the difficulties faced by indigenous people in the transition from a planned to a market economic system, briefly investigates the activities of the UN in preserving national culture. The author also discusses the activities of regional and local associations, aimed at supporting the indigenous population in changing environment. When writing the legislative acts, scientific articles and monographs were used, as well as the experience of personal communication with the Far East indigenous peoples.
