PENGEMBANGAN MODUL BERBASIS PENEMUAN TERBIMBING PADA MATERI FUNGSI PEMBANGKIT Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul berbasis penemuan terbimbing pada materi fungsi pembangkit yang akan digunakan selama perkuliahan mata kuliah matematika diskrit. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 15 mahasiswa pendidikan matematika FKIP UMSB. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model McKenny yang terdiri atas tiga tahap yaitu preliminary, prototyping, dan assessment. Kegiatan analisis kebutuhan dimulai dengan analisis kurikulum, analisis konsep, dan analisis kebutuhan mahasiswa. Validasi modul dilakukan oleh pakar pendidikan matematika, teknologi pendidikan, dan bahasa. Kepraktisan modul dilihat melalui pengamatan pelaksanaan pembelajaran, pengisian angket prediksi menurut para ahli, pengisian angket menurut mahasiswa, dan melakukan wawancara dengan mahasiswa. Keefektifan modul dilihat dari hasil observasi aktivitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan mahasiswa, modul dibutuhkan untuk menemukan konsep materi secara mandiri. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa modul berbasis penemuan terbimbing untuk materi fungsi pembangkit pada matakuliah matematika diskrit sudah memenuhi kriteria valid baik dari segi isi maupun konstruk, praktis dari segi keterlaksanaan, kemudahan, dan waktu yang diperlukan, serta efektivitasnya. Kata kunci: modul, fungsi pembangkit, penemuan terbimbing Abstract This study was aimed at developing a guided discovery-based module on the generating function learning material used during lectures on discrete mathematics courses. The research sample was 15 students of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Education, West Sumatra Muhammadiyah University. This study used McKenny's model which consists of three stages, namely preliminary, prototyping, and assessment. The needs analysis activity started with curriculum analysis, concept analysis, and need analysis. Module validation was carried out by mathematics, education technology, and language education experts. The practicality of the module was seen through observing the implementation of learning, filling in the prediction questionnaire according to experts, filling out the questionnaire according to students, and conducting interviews with the students. The effectiveness of the module was seen from the results of the observation of the student activities and learning outcomes. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. Based on an analysis of student needs, a module is needed during the lecture process that requires students to discover material concepts independently. The results show that Guided discovery-based modules for generating function in discrete mathematics courses have met valid criteria both in terms of content and construct, practical in terms of feasibility, ease and time required, and the effectiveness.
