Development of Mekong Delta's Enterprises

Abstract

Enterprises play a vital role in economic development, jobs creation, and tax contributions to national budget. Mekong Delta has been naturally considered as a region which is full of potentials for economic development. It has been contributing 1/3 of national agriculture volume, accounting for 20% of national total population but it officially houses only 10% of total quantity of nation-wide enterprises. Furthermore, most of the enterprises in Mekong Delta are extremely small in size and really slow in growth rate. In this article, the author mainly focuses on analyzing present situations and recent developments of enterprises in Mekong Delta as well as some main obstacles that they are currently facing so as to propose some relevant suggestions for future developments
