The Role of Islamic Education Teachers in Providing Secondary School Students with Drug Education
Abstract
The research aims to study the role of Islamic education teachers in providing secondary school students at public schools in the State of Kuwait with the concepts of drug culture from their point of view. The study used a descriptive approach. A questionnaire consisting of (18) items was prepared and distributed to a random sample of (125) teachers of Islamic education in the Capital Governorate in the State of Kuwait. The study finds that the assessment of the role of teachers in teaching drug culture to students was high. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the study members' estimates of their role in providing secondary school students in public schools in the State of Kuwait with the concepts of drug culture due to gender or educational qualification. In light of the results, the study recommends the necessity of paying attention to students' acquisition of the concepts of drug culture.
