Report on the development of a visual narrative about Cruz e Sousa Palace, home of the Historical Museum of Santa Catarina, in Florianopolis. From a pedagogical point of view, we seek to show that every museum has the potential to inspire visual narratives and, from these, to identify concepts that may lead to a prospect in creativity. Initially, it focuses on what a narrative is and its possibilities of generating learning, based on the perspective of Connelly and Clandinin (1995). From Martins and Tourinho (2009), narrative is considered within the scope of the visual culture, as a form of questioning the gaze, representations and relations. The educational role of museums was examined from Leite (2005) and Barbosa (2012).
