The 1923 population exchange agreement between Turkiye and Greece is one of the experiences of forced and compulsory migration that contains dramatic and at the same time traumatic stories. The psychosocial and sociospatial context of the exchange is analysed through Pierre Bourdieu's reflexive sociology of space, capital and habitus. The aim is to describe the problems that the exchange migrants were exposed to during and after the migration, and the experiences they had in the places where they were resettled and with the local people they interacted with. The data sources used in the research consist of nine (9) documentary films about the 1923 Population Exchange. The data obtained from these films were analysed by means of MAXQDA package software, concept networks were created and content analysis was carried out in accordance with the thematic context. As a result, it was determined that the economic, social and cultural capitals of the migrants transferred to Anatolia remained dysfunctional. It has been determined that the multidimensional negativities they encountered, especially psychosocial reflections, continue to take place in their memories.
