Społeczno-gospodarcze efekty doskonalenia jakości usług edukacyjnych w szkolnictwie wyższym

Abstract

The article presents a lifestyle challenges faced by higher education entities. The starting point for consideration is a reference to the legal environment and the education system in Poland, as the main determinant of changes in society and the economy. In the first part, the article highlights the semantic issues related to ways of defining the concept of quality in higher education. It also describes the assumptions of utilitarianism in higher education, as an important factor for the development of the business environment for all the stakeholders. The second part of the article indicates the important role of the universities that stimulates the development in the region, as well as the need for cooperation between the main stakeholders in the education market. The main thesis assume that monitoring and raising the level of quality service in higher education, that is, the search for effective educational tools, improving the quality, usefulness and effectiveness of distributed knowledge has an indirect but important impact on the social development and economic growth of the State.
