Una mirada al Partido Revolucionario Cubano desde la correspondencia de José Francisco Pérez / A glance at the Cuban Revolutionary Party from correspondence of José Francisco Pérez
Abstract
Los estudios históricos en torno al Partido Revolucionario Cubano se han centrado fundamentalmente en las emigraciones que radicaron en Estados Unidos. El hallazgo de nuevas fuentes documen-tales relacionadas con la emigración de Jamaica, en el Archivo Nacional de Cuba, abre nuevos horizontes sobre esa línea de investigación. A tono con ello, en el artículo se caracteriza el funcionamiento del Partido Revolucionario Cubano a partir de la correspondencia de José Francisco Pérez. Para ello, fue de utilidad el análisis de los nuevos documentos hallados y la sistematización de la información. El género epistolar devi-ene en una fuente de conocimiento muy importante para el estudio de la historia del Partido Revolucionario Cubano. Historical studies around the Cuban Revolutionary Party have focused mainly on emigrations that settled in the United States. The discovery of new documentary sources related to the emigration of Jamaica, in the National Archive of Cuba, opens up new horizons on this line of research. In keeping with this, the article characterizes the opera-tion of the Cuban Revolutionary Party based on the correspondence of José Francisco Pérez. For this, the analysis of the new documents found and the systematization of the information were useful. The epistolary genre becomes a very important source of knowledge for the study of the history of the Cuban Revolutionary Party.
