This article discusses some fundamental issues of pedagogy based on the creative use of hands: how to promote and enhance the basic creative skills, the heuristic, transformative and innovative ability of those members whose start to study architecture. We observe the hands as vital organs of perception, communication and transformation of cognitive and artificial environment. We analyze and compare in the learning of architectural designing and modeling, the manual and digital processes. We study the relationship that the drawing maintains with the body and its emotional states checking the conditions in which the body becomes the generator of architectural space as living space. Digital processes are, however, abstract coded processes, based mainly on visual communication.
