Abstract

This article is a part of my research about the life of the monk fray Antonio Sobrino and his contact with the Court of Felipe II and Felipe III. The Court was always grateful for Antonio Sobrino ́s work, so they even helped him in important moments in his life, as his lawswuit with the Inquisition. Although Sobrino preferred a contempla-tive life, some documents show this interesting relation; nevertheless, it has not been properly studied because the researchers have preferred to focus on his relation with Valencian spirituality in the xvii century and his involvement in the Mosén Simón ́s case.
