Correlation of notions of «investment-driven» and «innovative» development of education sphere

The objective of the research is to reveal the peculiarities of the notions of «investment-driven» and «innovative» development of the educational sphere and to establish their correlation, which proves to be topical through the necessity of determining the strategic alternatives. In the course of research, methods of theoretical generalization and comparison, analysis and synthesis, scientific abstraction and systemic approach areused to establish the essence, the specifics of the terms and to improve conceptual and category-related framework of investment management in the conditions of the educational sphere. The paper further studies the interpretations and peculiarities of employing the notions of «investment-driven» and «innovative» development of education, which essentially differ in content (by objects, momenta, conditions). Complete dissociation of those is not expedient taken that «investment-driven» development provisions the further «innovative» development and serves as its primary condition. Unifying these categories in the course of the research renders beyond reach those aspects of investment activity, which are not defined as «innovative». The scientific novelty of the attained results lies with the thorough substantiation of the definition of notion of «investment-driven educational sphere development» and its peculiarities as well as its distinctions with «innovative». Practical significance of the findings consists in establishing a more full-scope implementation of the provisions of «National Doctrine for Development of Education in Ukraine» within the activity of entities of educational sphere.
