Economists and those interested in the topic of economic integration differed in determining the emergence of the idea of economic integration or its application to the practical reality and through tracking the development of economic thought we suggest that this idea appeared specifically when he called the German economist Friedrich not in 1818 to cancel customs duties between the German states and establish a customs union between them He had a customs policy to protect the whole people, and this call was based on the conviction that when Napoleon controlled it, Europe benefited from the principle of freedom of trade at home and protection abroad against Britain, where it was advanced in terms of industry, and that what was called for mechanism did not meet with the public opinion and lost his position As a professor of economics and political science at the University of Tubingen in 1819, he was sentenced to ten months in prison on charges of sedition.
