In modern times, in the educational field, having computer skills is not an option, but there is a need to introduce advances and updates in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), which have not stopped since their appearance. With this, educational technology, which is the use of technological resources in education, has also been developing rapidly. An example of this is the use, increasingly popular and common, of the use of mobile devices for learning. In the Higher Technological Institute of Ciudad Constitución, mobile learning strategies (M-Learning) were implemented, in order to know their impact on the development of positive study habits for students of higher education, in the first semesters of the Gastronomy career. An instructional design with activities on mobile devices was developed and implemented. The results were benefit, since it was found that they improve some habits that directly affect their academic performance, concluding that not only do they affect it, but they also develop necessary computer skills in their future work field. The strategies and activities used are shown; those preferred by the students, as well as the study habits and computer skills that were developed.
