KAZAKH-TURKISH CULTURAL RELATIONSHIP OF THE 20TH CENTURY: THROUGH A SCIENTIFIC BIOGRAPHY AND THE WORKS OF SHAKARIM KUDAIBERDYULY
Abstract
The main goal of the article is to analyse the formation of Kazakh-Turkish cultural ties at the turn of the 20th century through a scientific biography and the works of Shakarim Kudaiberdyuly. Therefore, the aim of the work is to analyse the influence of the Kazakh and Turkish intellectuals on shaping Shakarim‟s social and political views, documenting the list of Ottoman historians, whose works Shakarim studied in the libraries of Istanbul in the process of creating his historical work ,,Geneology of Turks, Kirghiz-Kazakhs and Khans”. As a result of the research, Ismail Gasparli‟s ideological influence on Shakarim, the role of Shakarim in the formation of the Kazakh press, the works of Ottoman historians used by Shakarim, as well as the ways of spreading the Ottoman books in the Kazakh steppe have been determined. The conclusions obtained as a result of the research can be used in the study of the history of Kazakh-Turkish cultural ties, in the teaching of humanitarian subjects.
