THE MANAGEMENT OF COUGH IN PEDIATRICS

Abstract

The most frequent causes of cough in children of different age are overviewed in this article. Last years there was an in crease in the number of children with intensive, unproductive, persistent and exacting cough as a main symptom of even uncomplicated disease. The classification of drugs, influencing cough, is presented in this work. The positive properties and adverse events of some mucolytic and expectorative drugs were also overviewed.Key words: children, respiratory infection, cough, management.
