Development of the Northern sea route: national and international aspects

Abstract

The paper reveals the features of the Northern Sea Route (NSR), analyzes its national and international aspects. Relevant proposals and innovations for the development of the Northern Sea Route are analyzed. The NSR is considered as one of the transit routes in the framework of the Chinese initiative «One Belt, One Road», in particular, in the form of the «Polar Silk Road».
