Sudan: uncertain prospects

Abstract

Khartoum’s refusal to allow Jan Egeland, the UNEmergency Relief Coordinator, to visit Darfur – and theexpulsion of the Norwegian Refugee Council from thetroubled region – is further evidence of efforts by theruling National Congress Party (NCP) to contain inter-national engagement in Sudan.
