In Ecuador the public schools of basic education, have external support for administrative management, this situation generates the following questions: ¿Do schools recognize themselves as organizations? ¿Do you know the importance of the administrative process as a fundamental tool for its performance? The article highlights the importance of organizational diagnosis as a tool for situational analysis in given context, in the established moment and through this to generate processes of change. The purpose the present investigation is to develop a methodological strategy to establish an administrative process according to the new model of educational management from the organizational diagnosis, in this way contribute to the public schools recognizing themselves as organizations, know what the administrative process is, the main areas or areas that comprise it and thus comfort your institution to be more effective and comply with the basic education instruction strengthened its organizational structure. In order to evaluate the functioning of educational institutions, the Six Box Model developed by Marvin Weisbord, which constitutes the frame of reference for evaluating the operation of these organizations and on which the results obtained are based.
