O narrador “Pinta” Leniza como “A Mulher” no romance moderno e não somente um sexo feminino

This work pretends to reflect, through the romance A estrela sobe, of Marques Rabelo, as the narrator of the modern romance “paints” his characters, specifically the character Leniza. We will review the work with comparative look at the behavior of Leniza with what society proposes for females. Therefore, we will support in the writings of Bakhtin (1998), which deals with the romance genre, Rosenfeld (1996), that shows how the narrator "paints" your character, Goldmann (1976) ,shows that the "problematic hero" of the romance modern and Ximenes (2009) and Bassanezi (2008), who report on the characteristics of women and female behavior that society employs. Therefore, we will consider the character Leniza from their ways, habits and desires described by the narrator, thus, understanding the building of the character of the modern romance.
