Intentional replantation for a Class 4/Stage C cemental tear: Etiology, choice and outcomes of treatment

Abstract

Key Clinical Message Cemental tears, root cracks, and associated periapical‐periodontal lesions may occur simultaneously in one tooth, and can be effectively managed by intentional replantation and etiological control. A durable splint, along with occlusal and periodontal monitoring, is required as healing progresses slowly and may be insufficient.
