Voltaire, i costumi e lo spirito delle nazioni

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present a critical edition of Voltaire’s Essay on the Manners and Spirit of Nations. An attempt will be made to depict the subject-based features and main historical motivations on the basis of which a comprehension of Voltaire’s historical conduct would be eased.
