Abernethy syndrome presenting as severe pulmonary hypertension in a young male
Abstract
Abernethy syndrome is shunting of blood from portal to systemic circulation resulting in pulmonary vasodilation and ventilation perfusion mismatch.On evaluation of a young male with severe pulmonary hypertension no cause was found. On CECT abdomen channel suggestive of Abernethy syndrome was found and patient was sent for surgical correction.
