De la tecnología orfebre precolombina a la colonial
Abstract
There has been little research concerning the technical aspects of Colonial Andean silverwork, and even less study of the objects produced by native silversmiths at that time. In the following pages we present some advances in relation to the technology used by indigenous silversmiths during the first centuries of Colonial times. This information was recovered from Colonial archives and will allow us to better understand the process of adaptation to the new techniques and tools brought by the European conquerors to America by the indigenous silversmiths of this time.
