The Effectiveness of Quranic Stories on Philosophical Mentality and Critical Thinking Tendency among the Sixth Grade Elementary School Girl Students
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of Quranic stories on philosophical mentality and critical thinking tendency among the sixth grade elementary school girl students. The sample of this quasi-experimental study was selected by the cluster sampling among all the sixth grade elementary school girl students in the city of Ghayen. The sample was divided into two test and control groups of 20. The data were collected by two questionnaires of philosophical mentality and critical thinking tendency. The data were analyzed by covariance analysis using SPSS software. Based on the results, Quranic stories have a positive effect on increasing philosophical mentality and critical thinking tendency among the sixth grade elementary school students. Therefore, it is suggested that educational system use Quranic stories in elementary schools.
