CAJAS DE AHORROS: UN MODELO DE COMPROMISO CON LA SOCIEDAD / SAVINGS BANKS AND SOCIETY: A MODEL OF COMMITMENT TO SOCIETY
Abstract
Las entidades de crédito tienen cada vez mayor interés en las cuestiones sociales, como reflejo de un compromiso empresarial para satisfacer la demanda de la sociedad, en general, funcionando de una forma eficiente a medio plazo. El trabajo de campo se realizó a través de una encuesta contestada por 57 entidades de crédito españolas. En las Cajas de ahorros por lo que se refiere al tipo de inversión, se observan correlaciones significativas positivas entre el porcentaje del presupuesto destinado a inversiones en la comunidad y en proyectos medioambientales. Por lo tanto, vemos que cuantas más inversiones se realizan en la comunidad, mayor cantidad se destina a proyectos medioambientales. Por el contrario, se observa una relación negativa entre el porcentaje del presupuesto destinado a inversiones para la comunidad y la materialización de las aportaciones en metálico / The field work was conducted through a questionnaire answered by 57 Spanish institutions. In savings banks as regards the type of investment, there are significant positive correlations between the percentage of the budget for investment in community and environmental projects. Therefore, we see that the more investments are made in the community, the greater amount is allocated to environmental projects. On the contrary, there is a negative relationship between the percentage of the budget for investment in the community and the realization of cash contributions.
