Descriptive study in the form of systematic review databases, with the descriptors, Assistive Technology and Virtual Simulation. Data were characterized by frequency in each area of expertise. Thus, we sought in electronic databases BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE, and SCIELO SCIENCEDIRECT to Assistive Technology and Virtual Simulation as a theme in design production, between January 2009 to June 2014. Of the publications, the Assistive Technology and Virtual simulation were subject to 2.74 % of all articles
