The fictional world of story, including allegorical travelogues, goes some way beyond this world: hell, limbo and paradise. Fiction works also cross national borders and enter the world of literature. Among the types of allegorical travelogues, we can refer to Al-Ghafran. This work, which belongs to the Islamic world, went to the West its Islamic beliefs and influenced Dante's Divine Comedy. In this article, with an intertextual approach, we do structural and content comparison of these two works. Despite some differences between these two works, many similarities can be found among them. Although Divine Comedy is one of the most spectacular examples in its literary genre world-wide, but precedence of Al-Ghafran con not be ignored, the precedence and influence, which is by no means superior to this work.
