Abstract

The title compound, C5H6BrN3, crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P212121 with two molecules with different conformations in the asymmetric unit. In the crystal, N—H...N and bifurcated N—H...(N,N) hydrogen bonds link the molecules into [100] chains; a short Br...Br halogen bond and π–π stacking interactions are also observed.
