Existió asociación positiva significativa entre los valores de colesterol inmune y la variable espermograma patológico (p32 patients aged 20-45 who attended the infertility office consecutively were studied with their previous consent. 9 sound men with normal standard spermiogram were included in the control group. The seminal parameters, including acid phosphatase and leucocytospermia, which according to the World Health Organization are indicators of oxidative stress, were investigated. The mean and the median calculated for each of the studied variables were within the normal established limit. Only the value of immune cholesterol was pathological. There was a significant positive association between the values of immune cholesterol and the variable pathological spermiogram (p < 0.05). On dichotomizing the variables immune cholesterol, total cholesterol and triglycerides into normal and pathological, it was obtained that 100, 83.3 and 87.5 % of the cases with hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia and elevated levels of anti oxidized LDL autoantibodies had an abnormal spermiogram. The results of the logistic regression study considered immune cholesterol as the real predictor of pathological spermiogram. The alterations of the levels of anti oxidized LDL autoantibodies, total cholesterol and triglycerides in infertile men are the most frequent in patients with abnormal spermiogram among the studied biochemical indicators and they may be connected with the reproductive disorder.
