OSOAP Notes Podcasts for First-Year Medical Students (Out of Print)

Abstract

Abstract This series of six podcasts were published to help novice medical students learn the components of a clinical note. This series has been used as a supplement to a first-year course entitled “Early Clinical Experience” in which the students meet with master clinical teachers and learn the history and physical in the outpatient clinic setting with real patients. The value of these podcasts was studied and determined to be well received by students and to be most helpful to them when used soon before the objective structured clinical examination that was the course practical exam. The specific details of this evaluation of the series' effectiveness are part of a research project and are expected to be published in the future.
