The fauna and ecology of bees of the family Megachilidae (Hymenoptera: Apoidea) in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan
Abstract
Fifty nine species of Megachilidae from 17 genera and 5 tribes are distributed in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (Azerbaijan). Information about general distribution, landscape-biotopical habitats and trophic relationships is given. Eighteen species are recorded for Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for the first time: Eoanthidium clypeare Morawitz, 1873, Rhodanthidium septemdentatum (Latreille, 1809), Stelis jugae Noskiewicz, 1962, Stelis odontopyga Noskiewicz, 1926, Trachusa interrupta (Fabricius, 1781), Aglaoapis tridentata (Nylander, 1848), Coelioxys echinata Förster, 1853, Megachile desertorum (Morawitz, 1875), Megachile albisecta (Klug, 1817), Megachile concinna Smith, 1879, Megachile versicolor Smith, 1854, Chelostoma grande Nylander, 1852, Chelostoma mocsaryi Schletterer, 1889, Chelostoma proximum Schetterer, 1889, Heriades crenulata Nylander, 1856, Hoplitis leucomelana (Kirby, 1802), Hoplitis jakovlevi Radoszkowski, 1874, Hoplosmia bidentata Morawitz, 1876.
