David Ancillon, une figure méconnue de pasteur idéal pour les protestants du XVIIe siècle
Abstract
The Discours sur la vie de feu Monsieur Ancillon, published in 1698 by his son Charles, presents the image of an ideal pastor. He is a modest, kind and charitable man. He puts into practice all that he teaches, being a model for his flock. He is above all a great preacher. But he is also a hard-worker, an erudite, fond of books. This picture reflects imperfectly the reality and tells us more on what a pastor must be in 17th century.
