A 39-year-old female presented with brown colored nodule on her back for one year. Dermatological condition: a 0.8 cm×1.0 cm brown nodule on the back, which was significantly higher than the skin. Cutaneous examination revealed that a well defined unencapsulated lump in dermal. It cinsists of loosely arranged spindle cells with scanty pale cytoplasm and elongated wavy. Scattered mast cells were in the tumor. There was positive staining for S-100, and negative staining for EMA, Melan-A and HMB-45. The final diagnosis: solitary neurofibroma. Surgical excision was performed, and no recurrence after 3 years follow-up.
