Abstract

With the advent of the Internet, the number of private States projects, also called micronations, witnessed a strong increase. Several analysts thought they were witnessing a movement calling for the refoundation of the very concept of State, of sovereignty and of citizenship. In fact, private States, the origin of which is quite ancient, work with government structures and state images that remain very classical. However, there is a wide discrepancy among the constellation of these projects, often led by a single person.
