La investigación social en Argentina y el compromiso del investigador: contradicciones y desafíos
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to present some methodological reflections about the Participatory Research and the investigator's social commitment on the light of our research experiences in Argentina. The epistemological, theoretical and methodological characteristics of the Participatory Research are described. The Participatory Research stands out as a way of «to make science» of the social facts where key variations are introduced in the confrontation of theory and empirical information and in the relationship between object and actors of scientific knowledge. The central characteristics of the Participatory Research are approached stressing the concept of population's real participation in the construction of collective knowledge as well as the concept of objectification of daily reality. Both concepts are articulated in the complex weft of the processes of power and knowledge.
