PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF CHILDREN AFTER COCHLEAR IMPLANTATION
Abstract
This article presents the results study psychological aspects of children with a cochlear implant. The relevance of this study is to improve pedagogical work with children undergoing rehabilitation with this type of surgical intervention. We have considered such processes of psychological features as features of speech development, conceptual thinking, features of attention and the emotional sphere of children. The purpose of the article is to study the psychological characteristics of children after cochlear implantation. Subject of study. The subject of the research is the features of the cognitive and emotional sphere. Research methods. For this study, methods of psychological and neuropsychological diagnostics of cognitive processes and emotional sphere of children were used. Results. According to the results of this study, the following features can be distinguished: the children speech after cochlear implantation is characterized by low activity and is accompanied by speech disorders; conceptual thinking of children after cochlear implantation is characterized by distortion of generalization and synthesis, where the presence of paraphrase can act as a mechanism for understanding the logical grammatical system of speech; in the emotional sphere, such features as the presence of stress were revealed. Also, the article provides an analysis of the psychological characteristics of children, depending on the period of wearing a cochlear implant. Scope of results. These results can be a recommendation for the construction of correctional psychological and educational work with children after cochlear implantation.
