A New Method for Hobbing Grown Gear on Profiling Hobbing Machine

Abstract

This paper develops a new method for manufacturing crown gear on profiling hobbing machine, It is expected to cut out a flank which contacts with theoretic flank of crown gear on two reference points. Based on this demand the profiling plate is designed. The calculation results show that it is possible to get a flank whose symmetry is very nice, so the crown gear coupling possesses fine transfer performance.
